People don’t remember, probably, but switching to React Native in 2015 wasn’t a foregone conclusion. We were doing well with native development and this was a very strange and unproven approach. JavaScript in a native app? Ridiculous! But for all the reasons you mentioned, it has been a great choice for the past three years.
